Cookie. a former investigative journalist, who was blinded 15 years previously in an accident, becomes entangled in an intriguing mystery involving a Genetic Research Institute, a deadly secret, and murder. The police think it’s industrial espionage, but Cookie suspects more. He has not lost his touch when it comes to sniffing out a story, and he begins work with another reporter to try to solve the mystery. They piece together the bits of the puzzle they have so far. There are nine leads to follow - a cat o’ nine tails - with a sting in each tail ....................
