Synopsis

How did Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid first meet? What adventures did they enjoy before those recounted in the famous Newman-Redford film? Was Butch married? This film answers these and many other questions as it follows the young Butch from his parole from a Laramie jail to the time he strikes up an uneasy alliance with The Kid and they begin their notorious but pleasurable life of crime out West. A vastly enjoyable "prequel" with Newman and Redford look-alikes Tom Berenger and William Katt in the title roles, this film boasts some wonderfully atmospheric direction from Richard Lester who captures much of the flavour of the Old West in his storytelling.
