Synopsis

The Frankenstein story as you've never seen it before - updated into an hilarious comedy with Gene Wilder as young Frederick Frankenstein (the grandson of the notorious baron) travelling to Transylvania to receive a legacy. The legacy turns out to be a record of the famous monster experiments. Unable to resist trying his hand, Frederick excitedly creates his own monster and trouble once again reigns in the surrounding villages of Castle Frankenstein... Mel Brooks directs this brilliant parody of the horror film, shot affectionately in black and white and featuring such comic talents as Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman and Peter Boyle. A zany, Witty comedy, one of the funniest in years.
