Synopsis

A half-breed torn between two loyalties... two loves, and fighting hard to save them both.
A splendid western with Elvis Presley as an Indian half-breed caught up in racial tensions in frontier Texas and finding his loyalties divided between his white father (John McIntire) and Kiowa mother (Dolores Del Rio) when the Kiowas go on the warpath... This is one of Elvis' best films ranking both as a superior film and a superior western making many thought provoking comments about peace among men of all races. It derives from a best-selling novel by ace western novelist and scriptwriter Clair Huffaker and boasts many finely staged action sequences. The direction is by Don Siegel.
