Synopsis

The world of horse racing - graceful, elegant, sophisticated - but underneath there is plenty of opportunity for bribery and corruption. Based on the works of ex-National Hunt jockey and best selling author Dick Francis, the series goes behind the scenes to look at the real business of racing and its frequently shadowy and criminal underside, Sid Halley (MIKE GWILYM), no longer racing after a cruel injury, uses his intimate knowledge of the racing world to investigate its own particular and fascinating forms of corruption. Doping and kidnapping are just a few of the elements which add excitement and danger to this fast-action production.
