Zena is a beautiful young woman struggling alone to support herself and her mischievous son Bobby in the torrid atmosphere of Istanbul. Eventually she becomes so desperate she has to seek the help of her estranged husband, Nazmi, despite being condemned by him as an adultress. Their meeting only awakens the hatred in Nazmi's heart and Zena takes a desperate step to help Nazmi realise her innocence. Meanwhile, Bobby disappears and then the teardrops really begin to fall.
