Synopsis

The cartoons of Ronald Searle combine with the music of Gilbert and Sullivan to provide humerous, action-packed entertainment for all the family.
Who knows the secret of the ultimate secret! Able Seaman Dick Deadeye is commanded by Queen Victoria to retrieve THE ULTIMATE SECRET which has been stolen from 'The Hexagon' (Admiralty) by the wicked sorcerer. Meanwhile the evil Pirate King of Penzance is also attempting to acquire this important national secret. Their paths constantly cross as Dick sets sail in HMS Pinafore and as the plot unravels the voices of Victor Spinetti, Linda Lewis, Julia McKenzie, Barry Cryer, Miriam Karlin, John Baldry and Peter Reeves and the musical arrangements of Jimmy Horowytz bring alive some of the most famous and best loved characters and songs from a whole range of Gilbert and Sullivan operas.
