Synopsis

For ten years the Greeks laid siege to the City of Troy, only to find it strongly fortified. But with the death of Hector, and other heroes, the fate of the city was finally sealed. The cunning of Ulysses (JOHN DREW BARRYMORE) was greater than the courage of the Trojan defenders. He insisted that the Greek Army, tired of a fruitless siege, should return home, leaving only an enormous wooden horse on the beach filled with hand-picked warriors. Despite the warning of Laocoon, priest of Neptune, the unsuspecting Trojans dragged the horse inside their city. During the night, the Greek warriors descended from the belly of the horse and signalled the hidden Army back to the shore. The fall of Troy took place in 1148 B.C., when its citizens were cruelly massacred.
