Synopsis

The story of a man, his dog and his action-packed adventures down an uncharted river.
WHITEWATER SAM travelled the Great Northwest many years before Jeremiah Johnson. SAM is a trapper and a wanderer. He is a mountain man. He has no family. His only roots are nature's wonders. He relates to nature, not to man. He is divorced from civilization. His adventures bring him dangerously close to death when attacked by a marauding cougar. Another day he risks his life to save a drowning bear cub. Later he is saved when the cub's mother assists "SAM" in a brutal fight with rampaging wolves. This marks the beginning of SAM's adventures through the wilderness...
