Synopsis

THE BIGGEST ADVENTURE MOVIE OF '83
Hank (NOEL MARSHALL) is an energetic scientist who thinks he has found his paradise in the bush country of East Africa. Apart from spending time providing the local inhabitants with medical treatment he has built a fine house in a beautiful setting and filled the surrounding valley with over 150 wild lions, tigers and an elephant or two. All living together in apparent peace. Then all in one day, things start to go terribly wrong. Firstly, it is the day his wife Madeleine (TIPPI HENDREN), daughter (MELANIE GRIFFITH) and tow teenage sons (JOHN and JERRY MARSHALL) are due to arrive from Chicago. It is the day when the Area Control Committee are to assess the development of his work with the big cats, AND it is the day when Robbie, the pride leader is challenged by the rogue lion Togar for supremacy over the animal colony. Things go badly wrong. During the Committee visit, two members, both game hunters, upset two of Hank's tigers and are mauled. At the same time Robbie and Togar engage in a ferocious encounter and Hank is forced to physically separate them. The family is terrified and try to hide upstairs. The vicious Togar crashes through the house and is only prevented from harming them by the intervention of Robbie. The family endure a living nightmare as they endeavour to escape from the house. Whatever they try, boats, motorcycles, they are thwarted by the big cats.
