Synopsis

For Lee Trevino this Championship climaxed in an unprecedented 21 days of triumph. Within that span he won three Open Championships: the U.S., Canadian and British. His British Open victory came at Royal Birkdale and in the crucial last two rounds he was partnered by Britain's Toy Jacklin and finally by the Formosan, Liang Huan Lu, who endeared himself to the golf public for all time as 'Mr Lu'. Trevino and Mr. Lu together provide an unbeatable cross-talk act and slice of golfing drama. Commentator, Henry Longhurst.
