'Blood and Guts' is a powerful story of the tenderness and turmoil of people in love amid the action and atmosphere of professional wrestling. 'Dandy' Dan O'Neil (William Smith) is known to wrestling fans as the 'Wild Irish Rose'. He can put on a great show for his fans, but he can no longer fool himself. Dan's age has become the toughest challenger. Newcomer Jim Davenport (Brian Clarke) is the rival for Dan's crown and for his woman - Lady Lucky Brown (Micheline Lanctot). But he also needs Dan's expertise and instruction to become a champion. Jim's success is also a threat to the corrupt monopoly interests who control wrestling in the area. Jim must be bought or broken....
