Synopsis

A stunning recreation of pre-World War 2 America as seen through a Jewish lawyer's young son. As the lawyer fights against the prejudices of a small old-fashioned New England town, he encounters Nazism, Zionism and other powerful sentiments. This 1980 production is a compelling, gripping and sensitive film.
