Set against the magnificent scenery around Durango where the Rio Grande meets the Colorado River, this is the story of Pike - a city man who learns the wild ways of the Western Indians, and of White Bull the proud Kiowan warrior. They fear and respect one another and yet when their final inevitable confrontation takes place their combat is unrelentingly fierce and cruel. This is a fine and dramatic western which takes as its theme the timeless tragedy of civilisation's clash with the wild.
