When industrial magnate Robert Caine starts clearing the eerie desert site for a new thermo-nuclear power plant, a series of tragedies leads him to feel he has disturbed some awesome and malevolent force. His fears become an obsession when he discovers the land was once occupied by ancient prophets who foretold the coming of an Anti-Christ who would destroy the world with a rain of fire. Could he be building the plant that will cause that fire? Why is his computer going haywire? And, most frightening of all, is one of his family or friends the very Anti-Christ?
