Synopsis

Set in an American small town, Lovers and Other Strangers is a domestic drama in which a young couple approach marriage fearing that matrimony will drive the romance out of their relationship. Indeed, as the day draws near pressures grow; from friend who unexpectedly reveal their intentions to divorce and even from the girl's parents (Gig Young and Cloris Leachman) whose marriage is not everything that it seems. An uncompromising look at the state of American marriage with some fine country music and songs.
