Alan Arkin plays Yasha Mazur, a talented magician whose craving for success is exceeded only by his insatiable passion for women. There is the pathetic Magda (Maia Danziger), the voluptuous Zeftel (Valerie Perrine) and the beautiful but haughty Emilia (Louise Fletcher), the woman he desires above all others, to the despair of his faithful wife Esther (Linda Bernstein).
