Rod Taylor plays Scobie Malone, a detective sergeant from the outback, chosen to arrest the Australian High Commissioner in London on a murder charge, in this film version of a Jon Cleary novel. Scobie finds the job distasteful and dangerous. It seems someone wants High Commissioner Quentin (Christopher Plummer) out of the way. Malone is soon involved in protecting the man he has come to London to arrest. The stunning Daliah Lavi plays the mysterious Maria Cholon and statuesque Swedish actress Camilla Sparv plays the High Commissioner's private secretary in this fast moving thriller.
