Synopsis

THE CHINA SYNDROME, an explosive contemporary thriller starring Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon and Michael Douglas. It casts Fonda as a TV news reporter who, while covering a story on nuclear energy, films a startling and controversial 'incident'. Lemmon is a veteran engineer whose integrity makes him a prime figure in the crisis... and a target for murder! Douglas is a newsreel cameraman, determined to find out what his film footage - which the TV station won't air - really means. THE CHINA SYNDROME is unique in that all three stars are Academy Award winners; it is acknowledged as one of the best made films dealing with highly controversial subject matter.
