Synopsis

How can a soldier wipe out the pain of defeat? Can he find a sort of solace in more killing, more treachery, even dirtier wars? In Lost Command, ANTHONY QUINN is the desperate leader who exchanges the disaster of Vietnam for the blood-bath of Algeria. ALAIN DELON is his lieutenant, torn between love of his country and love of a beautiful terrorist (CLAUDIA CARDINALE). MICHELLE MORGAN plays the Countess who puts new fire in her man. Battle, love and pride are the themes of this terrific move which dramatically illuminates the brutality and senselessness of human conflict.
