Synopsis

Robert de Niro is a distraught Viet Nam veteran who drives a taxi on late night shift in New York. The sordid, violent life he sees has turned him into a loner. A series of frustrations and his relationship with a 14 year old prostitute compel him to commit a violent act. The climax of the film is one of the most powerful and gut-wrenching sequences in motion picture history. De Niro 's performance and the direction of Martin Scorsese make TAXI DRIVER an incomparable experience.
