The most sensual city in the world, Amsterdam, serves as a backdrop for the awakening of a young American woman who is there on a visit. Little does she realize that she has begun the first foot of a very special journey. A new world is about to open up for her, steadily unravelling its endless erotic agonies and ecstasies. Aboard a ferry the American woman, Margaret, meets a French lady called Veronique. They are joined by Lazlo, a handsome male musician, and finally by Liza, an exotic young woman who spirits them all away to her chateau. It is here that an electric under-current of lust and desire finds its way to the surface. It appears that there is a world of sexual adventure waiting to be trapped, if one is simply in the right place at the right time. At a photographer's studio, Margaret finds herself witness to a spectacle of forbidden games. Finally, a fashionable art gallery exhibit transforms into a seething orgy in which every imaginable act is breathlessly indulged.
