Synopsis

Deep within the heart of an extinct volcano on planet Earth lies a spaceship that has been guarding mankind for centuries. For the spaceship is the headquarters of the Space Sentinels! - Hercules, with the strength of a hundred men. Mercury, the amazing athlete who can match the speed of light. Astria, able to assume any living form, and their three-dimensional computer, Sentinel One with his maintenance robot, Mo. In the first episode, three giant robots, each as tall as a six-storey building, shake the prairie underfoot as they lumber forward in the dead of night heading for the government gold vault. There they overcome the soldiers and steal all the nation's gold. No one can stop them - no one that is, except the Space Sentinels! Then Chronos, an evil time-traveller from the future, sabotages a rocket launch and steals the Moon Base plans in order to alter history. To retrieve the plans, the Space Sentinels have to travel forward through time itself to confront Chronos and undo his wicked deeds. Finally, archaeologists examining a burial chamber inside an ancient pyramid stumble upon a massive statue of the god, Anubis - or is it a statue? As the torch beam strikes his eyes, Anubis, god of darkness is awakened from his five thousand year-old slumber to once again wreak terror upon all who behold his fearsome countenance. Only the Space Sentinels can unlock the secrets of his ancient pyramid power! Upon each mission hangs the fate of mankind, and only the Space Sentinels can protect it from such danger!
