Jack has one philosophy in life in that women are sexual objects and should be treated accordingly. Lenny, his lifelong friend, on the other hand is very introverted, and has no such thoughts. Jack proves his point on many occasions and when Lenny tries to copy him, only ends dejected and disappointed in his own efforts. On one such occasion Lenny is beaten up by the girl's boyfriend, and as he turns to leave collides with a girl on rollerskates. Her name is Karen and on seeing that the girl is of the same disposition as himself strikes up a relationship that is both exciting and intimate. Jack however is not so sure that the relationship will last.
