Synopsis

From the land of the Shogun...
The clash between East and West, which reaches a bloody climax in the duel between sabre and samurai sword, is at the heart of this swashbuckling saga of honour and sacrifice set in 19th-century Japan. The American Captain Hawk struggles to rescue the sacred Bushido Blade - stolen by a fanatical group of samurai warriors. As the courage of Hawk and his men is supremely tested, the pursuit of the sword leads to the discovery of the mysterious, closed world of Japanese society - and love for a beautiful samurai woman.
