Mankind is threatened by a deadly nucleus accidently brought back to Earth by a Japanese space-craft. It has been deposited in the form of an unidentified glittering spore when the space-ship is suddenly hit by a meteoric stone. The spore mysteriously dissapears [sic] from Japan Space Development Bureau stationed at the foot of Mt. Fuji shortly afterwards re-appearing as an enormous monster, feeding off high pressure electricity and nuclear energy, unwittingly destroying life, buildings and mountains in rapid succession. Frantic counter attacks are concentrated on the monster with big guns, nuclear missiles and jet planes, but to no avail, the monster grows larger all the more. Serious research leads to the conclusion that the monster can only be annihilated by a rare chemical substance found in outer space. A space crew hurries to the moon station to collect the material ....
