Shattering screams pierce the stillness of the country night, as a demon-like maniac attacks the Parker family. The demon stalks off into the darkness carrying the unconscious daughter Emily while her mother is left behind, scarcely alive. Later that night a truck driver is brutally murdered. A clairvoyant, enlisted by the Parker family as their final hope, ultimately confronts the demon and dies a gruesome death. Mary, a school teacher and her beautiful cousin Jo become the next targets for the maniac. A night of horrors begins with Mary's discovery of Jo's lifeless mangled body. Outside, Jo's boyfriend lies strangled in his car. Panic stricken, Mary tries to get out of the house but horrifyingly finds all the doors locked, the key missing! And the demon is waiting...
