Synopsis

An unforgettable wild life film - two hours of breathtaking adventure in magnificent colour. 'Africa!' took eleven years to complete. During this time 70,000 klms were covered visiting 46 well known wild life locations in the following countries; South Africa, Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), Swaziland, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zaire (formerly Congo), Kenya and Uganda. 'Africa!' is made up of 36 exciting and fascinating sequences - from the tense and dangerous filming of the Knysna Elephant to the amusing sequence of a warthog chasing two cheetahs - from the incredible beauty and vastness of the Ngonrongoro crater in Tanzania and its thousands of flamingos, to the 'world' of the small creatures - from the harsh truth that the Serengeti might soon be lost to the world as the Mecca of wild life - to the tranquillity of the unspoiled Okavango Swamps - from the exquisite beauty of the once almost extinct Bonte Bok of the Cape Province, at one stage only eleven were left - to the almost human behaviour of the ever increasing elephants of Tsavo in Kenya.
