Synopsis

...a fast moving, hard-hitting story of two police officers working as plainclothesmen in an un-marked car. Ed Haskell is a war veteran of many years and has just acquired a new partner, Bob Streeker - just up from the police ranks. Ed lives by the book, believing his job is to enforce the law as it is written. Bob finds too many differences in the law system - and too many times does not go by the book. An underlying friction develops between the two men as they do their daily work in crime prevention. Two prime suspects are on the loose - one a Peeping Tom - the other a rapist-murderer, one who poses as a woman - having raped several women including a young girl. We see the hard work and danger life these two men do as they apprehend thieves and gunmen, and in one sequence get into a fantastic car chase that ends in tremendous crash over a cliff.
