Synopsis

The final chapter in the most authentic series ever made
Gold is discovered in the black hills of Dakota. It is 1875 and the territory is the stronghold of the Sioux Indians, and theirs by right of an 1864 treaty. As gold fever takes grip the Cavalry is forced to patrol to keep the gold seekers from prospecting on Sioux land and violating the peace. John Morgan, Man Called Horse, now Peace Chief of the Yellow Hand Sioux, realises the destruction of his people will result if they break the treaty and defend their land with arms. But little by little the Indians are pushed to confrontation as prospectors violate the sacred lands and kill their people. Koda, son of the Man Called Horse, a powerful young Sioux brave who idolizes his father, returns from the East where he was sent to study law. Koda realises he must defend his people not with lawyer's skills, but with his wits and guns. Man Called Horse is ambushed and mortally wounded and Koda is call led on to succeed his father as Peace Chief. Arrested and accused of murder, Koda escapes to seek justice for his people...
