PLEASE LOOK AFTER THIS BEAR On Paddington Station, Mr. and Mrs Brown meet a small lonely bear with a label round his neck, who says he is a stowaway from Darkest Peru. Having named the stranger 'Paddington', Mrs. Brown invites him home to stay, although Mr. Brown has misgivings. A BEAR IN HOT WATER Back at the Brown's home, Paddington meets their children Judy and Jonathan, and Mrs. Bird the housekeeper. Judy explains to the bear how to take a bath, but left alone he completely forgets his instructions, and soon has the bathroom overflowing with water. PADDINGTON GOES UNDERGROUND Going shopping with Judy and Mrs Brown, Paddington is chased by dogs who are after the bacon he has stowed in his suitcase. At the underground station he comes into conflict with an angry inspector, but luckily Judy comes to his rescue. A SHOPPING EXPEDITION It is Pajama Week at fashionable Barkridges' department store, and Paddington decides to try out a pair of pajamas by getting into a bed wearing them. Unfortunately the bed is in the shop window, and Paddington's sleep is soon disturbed by an unhappy store manager. PADDINGTON AND THE 'OLD MASTER' Having removed the paint from Mr. Brown's best painting in an attempt to find an old master beneath it, Paddington repaints the ruined picture using marmalade and tomato sauce. The painting is collected for an art contest, but luckily the judges like modern art.
