AND A CHANGE OF PARTNERS... Twenty one years after their marriage, college professor Adam Evans confesses to his wife Karen that he's having an affair with one of his students, the nubile Lindsey. While Adam is weekending in Montreal with Lindsey, the elegant and attractive Karen commences an affair with Pete, a youthful carpenter who has come to the house to fix some shelves. On his return Adam is peevishly upset to discover his wife's infidelity, but nevertheless agrees when Karen proposes a holiday foursome at their cabin in Vermont. As she puts it to Adam, "Just you and me - and the two kids". At the cabin Kasey, Adam and Karen's daughter, arrives unexpectedly and is promptly scandalised at witnessing her parents permissive cavortings. Kasey's attitude makes Lindsey question her own moral situation, and she leaves for home in Boston. She is soon persuaded to return to the holiday group in Vermont together with her millionaire father. He also has a roving eye, which turns in Karen's direction...
