Synopsis

This programme is based on the well known "Daily Mail" strip cartoon "Fred Basset," which is written and drawn by Alex Graham and syndicated in over 100 magazines and newspapers throughout the world. Fred Basset is a dog, a Basset Hound to be precise. Fred is unique. He never talks, just thinks and through his amusing thoughts we get the "human" world in true perspective and particularly his owners. He always tries to help this muddle-headed couple he lives with, even if they don't appreciate his higher intelligence! Fred also has canine friends, notably Jock the Scotty and Fifi the Poodle, with whom he has some hilarious adventures.
